A Hint of Spring

Last week, we had a few days of wonderful weather!  One evening, while the sun was shining and the temperature was about 70 degrees, we headed on a walk to a little park at a church nearby.  It was so nice to get out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.  It left us longing even more for spring!  We put Macie in a swing for the first time.  I think it's safe to say, she loved it!

Kaeson thought he was pretty funny sitting in the baby swing too!

(I tried taking some pictures of Parker, but he refused to look at the camera!)

The last month

Once again, I have failed miserably in the blogging department lately.  This time I have a good excuse.  I  haven't taken any pictures lately!  I feel like we haven't done anything worth taking pictures or blog about because it feels like we have just been stuck inside with little to do lately.  So I have compiled a few pictures from the last month or so.

On Martin Luther King day, we went bowling with a few friends and had a great time.  The boys loved running around the bowling alley with their friends probably more than the bowling itself, but they had fun bowling too.  I had a wonderful time bowling, because once again, I scored a better score than Lance! It sure feels good!
Our little girl is growing up way too fast!  About a month ago, she started crawling, and has since started moving here and there and everywhere and getting into nearly everything. It's a good thing her brothers love her so much, because she is starting to try  their patience as she messes up all their toys, and constantly tries to crawl all over them while they play.  She almost always sits on one foot, with the other leg straight out.  I don't know why she does it.  It sure doesn't look comfortable.  I'm surprised, I got these pictures of her sitting normal, because it doesn't happen very often.
All the kids enjoying a bubble bath.  Macie's becoming a little tricky to bathe, because she wants to crawl all over the tub and usually ends up with her face in the water.
Last week, she learned how to pull herself up.  She hasn't figured out how to pull herself up on furniture yet; just toys, and people.
The other day, Kaeson was playing basketball, and somehow pulled the hoop down on himself and poked his eye pretty good.  I wasn't in the room so I haven't really figured out how it happened, but Parker filled me in on the basics.  Whatever it happened, it sure got him good, and it really hurt him. He begged for a band-aid and said he was bleeding.  He knows band aids are only for when you're bleeding, so he tried convincing me he was bleeding.  I got some amazing cuddles from him while he was hurting.  It's too bad kids only cuddle you when they are hurting, so you don't really get to enjoy the cuddles with all the feeling bad for their pain!

Cute little Macie crawling around and being as happy as can be.
It's also amazing that I was able to snap all these pictures before she ripped her bow off her head!  She isn't the biggest fan of them lately! I just keep fighting her and putting it on dozens of times a day, so hopefully eventually she will just give up and let me win!  She has ripped two bows completely apart within the last week.
Check out the new skill the little stinker mastered tonight!  She was screaming pretty hard right after I put her to bed, so I went in to investigate.  This is what I discovered.  This is the first time she has stood up in her crib, but I'm sure it won't be the last!  I can't get over how tiny she looks standing there!  She is actually on her toes, but it's hard to believe because you can't even see her face over the edge.

Parker has started basketball and the YMCA.  He really likes it.  He looks forward to it all week. He doesn't show a lot of enthusiasm while he's playing, but that's just Parker.  As long as he is enjoying it, I'm happy.  Here's a tiny little clip of him.  This is from the first week, and he's already a lot better!

He's also doing great in school, and loving it.  He is such a sweet kid.  I'm so lucky!  He's always telling me about how he chooses the right, and how he's nice to every one and what a good friend he is.  And he really is!  I'm so proud of him.  Him and I have been working on sight words and reading in the afternoons for a little while each day, and he's starting to really learn a lot.  He loves to pick out words he knows everywhere we go, and in all his books.  He's starting to get a pretty good list of words he recognizes.
