Weekend with the Andersons

Lance's younger brother got married the first week of August, so me and the kids drove up for the wedding and Lance flew from Kentucky and met us there.  We were able to spend a few days over the weekend with Lance's whole family.  We had lots of fun just hanging out, and watching the kids play. We got out lots of water toys one day and the kids had so much fun playing in the sun.  Grandpa, Lance, Luke, and Texie took the kids hiking up into some caves nearby and the kids loved it! We also got to be there for Garrett's baptism.  It was so great to be a part of such an important day for him!  While we were there, our old dog Mogli that now lives with Texie and her family finally bred to their other lab Peach and she had her puppies that weekend.  Parker still loves Mogli to death and still talks about him daily!  It was such a treat to be there when the puppies were born.
Kaeson LOVED this sweet water slide!
Parker and the twins rarely see each other, but whenever they get together, they fast become best buds!
on the hike with Grandpa.

Boy I sure love these two!
All the kids that went on the hike.  Sawyer, Marcus, Garrett, Chase, Caden, Kaeson, Carter and Parker
Texie and all the kids taking a break from all their hard work.
Kaeson and Grandpa.
Parker and Grandpa. The kids all love Grandpa to pieces.
The whole gang at Garrett's baptism
Peach and her adorable new puppies.  We so wish we could have taken one home with us!
Parker was the one so excited to  see Mogli and the puppies, but when we got there, he didn't have near as much interest in them as both Kaeson and Macie did.  Kaeson absolutely loved holding them.
Macie also got very excited about the puppies and squealed and tried to pick them up by the neck herself.  She made Peach pretty nervous!
I didn't take a  single picture of the wedding or the reception, but it was all beautiful and the happy couple was glowing and looked great!  We were so glad we were able to work it out that our family could be there for the big day!

Taylor reunion and Lincoln County Fair

At the end of July, we had the Taylor family reunion at  Palisades lake.  I was so excited about this because I haven't been able to attend the Taylor reunion for many years, and it's always a blast!

The kids loved riding in this thing!
 Kaeson and Peyton
Ryan got Parker and Talan to go eat deep in the lake for about two seconds and they both came right back in.   Every other kid was swimming all over  and jumping off the dock, but not mine!  They are my children!
Kaeson rode the 4-wheeler back from McKoy bridge with my aunt and uncle.  He was pretty proud when they let him drive!
And once again, here's Kaeson completely covered in dirt.
We were  also around for the first few days of the good ole' Lincoln County Fair.  They had just enough time to ride a few rides before we headed to the Hog wrestling.
Parker LOVES this ride!  He giggles like crazy the whole time he's on it.

July

Lance had to return to Louisville for school the first of July, but me and the kids decided to stay for the whole month until Lance flew back to Wyoming for his little brother's wedding. We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa, and Gina and Dave and their girls, but we sure did miss Lance!

This was taken the day before Lance flew out.
Macie loving life while waiting for the 4th of July parade.
Waiting for the first floats coming down the road.
My Grandma and Grandpa Micheli in the Fort Bridger 4th of July parade.  Grandpa was the Grand Marshall, and they were without question the highlight of  the parade!  We had a great visit with them and was again reminded of how blessed I am to have such great family in my life!
Macie loving her new  birthday tu-tu from Aunt Leah.
Grandma put her on the vacuum and she loved it!
My mom ran in the Star Valley Half Marathon ( and did A -MA- ZING) so me and the kids made signs and went to cheer her on at the finish line.  The boys weren't the best cheerers, but we had our signs.  I let the boys tell me what they wanted their signs to say.  Parker's said, "My grandma is the BEST racer ever" and Kaeson's said "Go fast Grandma!"  Just in case you don't know her, you should know that my mom is the most amazing woman ever!  She's never run a long race in her life, but she decided to support a great cause and run her first ever half marathon at 50 and she rocked it!  She won  her division and ran an impressive time and wasn't even tired or sweaty when she finished.  Only one of the many reasons she's so great!
We decided to take the trailer up to palisades and go camping the one free weekend mom and dad had and we had a great time.  The kids are big fans of camping!  Macie was at a tough age for camping and got absolutely filthy, but she did great.
Kaeson looked like this most of the time.  He too was so dirty all weekend! But he loved it!
One night I put the kids to bed downstairs and went upstairs and hung out with my parents as i did most nights.  At about ten thirty, I walked down to go to bed and noticed the light was on in the boys' room and wondered when they had gotten up and turned it on, but still expected them to be sleeping.  Instead I walked in to find this:  Kaeson had just gotten up and played with toys for about two hours while Parker slept beside him. These toys were not in his room when he went to bed! This was a first for us! I usually keep a closer eye on them at bedtime, and now i know why!
on the 24th of July, Afton had their annual Fish Scramble.  It was complete and utter chaos and by the time Parker got in there, there were thirty seconds left and there was no way he was catching a fish, but he wasn't too heartbroken.

Wagon Ride

There was a guy doing wagon rides through downtown Afton this summer, and the first day he was giving rides for free, so me and the kids decided we should try it out while it was free.  The boys loved it and asked daily for the rest of the summer if we could do it again.  Every time we drove by them all summer, the boys would get so excited and wave to horses and yell "Hi Dobby and Dimples"

Macie's First Birthday

Macie turned 1 while we were in Wyoming, so we had a great time celebrating.  We decided to celebrate  the week before her birthday so Lance could be there to enjoy it. It's so hard to believe she's already a year old!  This last year has flown by! We have loved every minute of having her in our family.  She is such a happy, sweet, and full of life baby.  She knows what she wants, and she isn't afraid to let you know! She now says mom, dad, dog (used to), and yeah.
Her Barbie cake. it was so hard to find a cute girlie baby cake, so this was the best we could find.
 Macie and Grandma
All the kids with grandma after the boys opened Macie's presents for her.
 Excited for cake!

The three cutest kids in the world.
 Daddy and Macie

She loved her cake! We didn't have any doubt she would dig right in.  One thing this girl can do is eat!

That is one happy birthday girl!

We love you Macie!
